Why I don’t respond to comments?
I work at the frontier of technology, raise a family, advise startups and founders, teach, and write the future(memo) to make sense of it all. That balance leaves little space for endless replies. I’d rather spend what time I have sharpening ideas than defending them in threads.
My job is to shape discourse, not drown in it. I owe readers signal, not volume. The clearest version of that signal lives in the essay itself.
I do read most comments. When a new perspective shifts my view, or I may have missed a lens because I skipped a few steps that were implicit to me, I do update the piece with caveats. These essays are evolving records of my own thinking. I don’t have all the answers, but I’m learning in public.
Do I use AI in my Writing?
Yes, but not in the way most people think. And I’d be stupid not to. I use AI as part of my thinking process, not as a ghostwriter. It helps me surface research, test structure, or challenge an argument. But the ideas, rhythm, and framing are entirely mine.
AI is a mirror, not a substitute. It can amplify clarity, but it can’t originate conviction. Every line you read here has been rewritten, debated, and refined by me — with AI serving as a thinking partner, not the author. I have written about this process here.
